The world of Epic Chef is full of lively NPCs, con artists, thieves, pirates, and friends. We happened upon a missive that describes insightful observations from Zest and the activities of Ambrosia, a kind of travel blog.
Ambrosia – Restaurant Haven
Upon arrival in Ambrosia, the first thing that truly captures attention is not the rats darting across the harbor (quickly picked up by the next Ambrosian for a tasty snack) but the abundance of restaurants adorning the streets; from bijou eateries and restaurant facades to decadent displays of grandeur. One thing is clear, Ambrosia is a place where culinary skills are as important as your own relatives.
And did I stumble upon a treat! Two chefs engaging in a culinary battle right before my eyes, with a judge presiding over the two artisans to deem their dishes worthy or not. They chopped, stirred, and sautéed as if their lives depended on it. Locals informed me that Culinary Chef Battles in Ambrosia occur regularly, and the winner, beating all other chefs, is crowned the Epic Chef, complete with the most magnificent crowns. Exciting! I look forward to witnessing more of these culinary battles during my time in Ambrosia.
Haunted Mansion on the Hill & Zest’s Farm
After stumbling through a few restaurants and chatting with locals once again, they informed me about a new spirited young chef named Zest, who had recently arrived and, I quote, had moved into “The Haunted Mansion on the edge of town.” Apparently a pioneer by profession, he had taken it upon himself to start repairing and building the house, even going so far as to convert the nearby land into his own farm.
When I arrived at the farm, I couldn’t believe my eyes, as among the numerous vegetables and well-cultivated produce, I was not only facing a giant turtle but also a unicorn! My admiration and awe were soon fleeting as the unicorn was catapulted into the air and into a machine that I could only describe as a modified minstrel. Apparently, such rare creatures are ordinary livestock here in Ambrosia, and every part of them is used for pursuing their culinary heights… including their dung.
The Bounty of Nature
Far outside the harbor town of Ambrosia, I spied a boat full of fishermen, casting their nets and rods far and wide to catch the tastiest fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. All of this was only in pursuit of culinary heights, much like back on land when the octopus was quickly thrown into an oven and cooked into what you see below. I even heard they use freshly cut logs as a base for exotic dishes! One can certainly not argue that Ambrosians are not resourceful!
The team at Infinigon has done everything in its pursuit of culinary mastery, and Epic Chef will offer over 100,000 combinations of dishes, with 27,000 having unique visuals! Whether you’re fishing, farming, or participating in animal husbandry, almost everything can be used to create a delicacy of delicious dishes, well… depending on taste!
We hope your own restaurant thrives in Ambrosia as Epic Chef launches today on Xbox One, and for the first week post-launch, we have an exclusive 10% launch discount for all users, with an additional 10% discount for those who own an Overcooked game or My Time at Portia!
