This $30 book is a bargain. It’s not like you’ll be learning much. These menus were inspired by the places and times where some of the most prominent Assassins lived and fought. You can relive the Italian Renaissance, French Revolution and Victorian London highlights. While you enjoy the most famous dishes of the Assassins of Brotherhood: Masyaf Moutabel and Davenport Homestead Soup as well as Ezio and Arno, Evie and Jacob, and Meringues Mirabeau, Rooks Bread Pudding, Rooks’ Bread Pudding, and Colonial Coleslaw as well. I haven’t actually read the book, but this seems a lot like a bunch a fairly standard recipes. Do you really need Ubisoft?
It’s not that Ubisoft would approve of it, but I may be being unfair. Thibaud Villanova wrote the book. It is an updated version of a text that was published in French a few years back. Assassin’s Creed might not fit neatly into that culinary lineage, but it is a good thing. Titan Books will publish The Culinary Codex on December 14, 2021. Its store page can be found here. Good luck, but even if I end up with an idiot sandwich, I will stick with Gordon.
